Keith has previously worked as a member of the show team at
Wella GB and Technical Manager for Schwarzkopf.
He has years of experience in the industry.
Salon Director
Jo started her career when she left school at 15 and was apprenticed to a salon that was owned by two Vidal Sassoon managers, and this entailed a 5yr training course, she then went on to further her career in barbering and afro Caribbean salons, she says the ‘experience was amazing’. After a short break to have her daughter, she then went on to work for The Academy, this salon was based in Welwyn Garden City where she remained for 10yrs, not only building a huge clientele but was involved in all aspect of the salon, and gained success and recognition with photographic shoots, and made the front cover of hair magazine.
She also took part in hair shows, and worked on stage on many seminars, she was also chiefly responsible for the salon training, Since moving down to Devon she has gained a reputation for bridal hair and colouring, as well as her styling skills, and enjoys her work today as much as did when she first started, ‘Hairdressing for me’ she says ‘is a way of life and it has enabled me to experience a way of life that I wouldn’t have thought possible’
Artistic Stylist
I started working as a Senior Stylist at The Place For Hair' in September 2016. I am fully qualified Level 2 Hairdresser with additional training in pre-bonded and micro ring hair extensions. I have over 10 years experience in women's and gents hair having previously worked in salons in South Wales and Cornwall. I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing especially colouring in which i always enjoy a new challenge. I look forward to extending my knowledge with Joico Products with many more training opportunities we have within the salon.
Artistic Stylist
I decided to start a career in hairdressing as for most of my life I have experimented on my hair using vibrant colours and having different cuts so I am never looking the same as before.
My passion started from a young age and decided to go into the profession at 17, I joined Petroc college where I joined a level 2 course in women’s hairdressing. After completion of my first year in the qualification I left and joined the team at The Place for hair doing a NVQ level 2 hairdressing. Giving me the salon experience as well as gaining an education at the same time. The Place For Hair has given me lots of wonderful experiences and opportunities I am now an Artistic Stylist and NVQ Level 2 & 3 qualified.
Salon Manager
Having Worked in hairdressing and customer service since leaving school, I was ready for this challenge after moving to Devon. It is just not working with the general public, but ensuring bookings are correct, and customer service is paramount, I also have to ensure that all the stock levels are correct, every day is different working in a busy salon with a great atmosphere, the team are great and we have amazing clients.

I have been hairdressing for 26 years and I still love what I do for a living. I love all aspects of my job as you can make such a difference to someones life through a hairstyle. I enjoy working in 'The Place' as the team are fabulous and the atmosphere is awesome.
Salon assistant
I started at 'The Place' as a Saturday girl, since leaving school I was offered a full time position, I am now the salon Assistant and Trainee dealing in a wide range of job roles from reception to shampooing to ensure the salon runs smoothly. I have recently started my training in salon leading to a NVQ level 2 hairdressing qualification which I am thoroughly enjoying. I enjoy working with the general public and learning more about the hairdressing industry. I am excited about my future with the 'The Place For Hair'.
